Since 2011, the Arab Spring revolutions in Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya have led to pivotal shifts, twists and turns and cyclical narratives in the evolution of their media landscapes. The story of how media in these countries adapted from dictatorship to democracy, and how Western news outlets covered the region will be the focus of this panel.
